The Great Escape

The elders always with me, now driving me into this unfamiliar insanity, not hearing what they expect of me…only mumbles and whispers and a single sharp word here and there, so I stare…

Wanting to crawl out of my bones, skin goes dancing, never having a clue where its been. Ignorance is bliss, I’ll never know, missed that ship too long ago. Now one oar in hand, searching for dry land, exhausted from sinking only to continue to swim; hard to keep my chin off the oceans den. Lungs fill with water, where tears have danced, managing to weasel a grin to begin again and again.

Wanting to float up to the sun after all that’s been said and done, however you’ve taken half the fun. Will it to come back again after all that’s been…experienced I know life will have a funny way of performing the ultimate show.
